An elegant estate in an unmistakable setting along the famed 18th Fairway of the Pebble Beach Golf Links. Inspired by the sophistication of French Country style, architect John Matthams designed a thoughtful five bedroom home, destined to define the Pebble Beach lifestyle. Its central location between The Lodge at Pebble Beach and The Beach Club places you in the heart of all the activities that Pebble Beach offers. A private courtyard with outdoor fireplace welcomes you into Far Niente, and, once inside, the ocean and golf views will pull you onto the back patio, which features 151 feet of golf course frontage and sweeping ocean views from Pescadero Point across Stillwater Cove and Carmel Beach to Point Lobos. The home offers a formal living room, formal dining room, comfortable kitchen/family room with casual dining area, a second family room and an adjacent wine cellar with dining table for 10.

Monterey County is located on the Pacific coast of California, with its northwestern section forming the southern half of Monterey Bay. The northern half of the bay is in Santa Cruz County. As of 2010, the population was 415,057. The county seat and largest city is Salinas.

The Monterey County coastline, including Big Sur, State Route 1, and the 17 Mile Drive on the Monterey Peninsula, has made the county world famous. The city of Monterey was the capital of California under Spanish and Mexican rule. The economy is primarily based upon tourism in the coastal regions and agriculture in the Salinas River valley. Most of the county's people live near the northern coast and Salinas valley, while the southern coast and inland mountain regions are almost devoid of human habitation.
